The Chula Vista Elementary School District (District) is seeking applications to fill vacancies within the seven-member Proposition E Independent Citizen’s Oversight Committee. Interested persons can view related information and download a copy of the application by clicking on the links below.

The application period for the Proposition E Independent Citizens Oversight Committee will be from July 28, 2017, through August 28, 2017, with applications due by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 28, 2017. At its regular meeting of September 6, 2017, the Board of Education will appoint members to the Committee. Membership recommendations by the Board shall be based on the information contained in the applications.

In 2012, voters approved general obligation bond funds as Proposition E. The vote enabled creation of a School Facilities Improvement District (SFID) encompassing 31 of our then-44 schools. The renovations at each modernization school include electrical upgrades and undergrounding of utilities, energy enhancements to heating and air-conditioning, window replacements, and enhanced wireless technology access.
