Classified Testing Information

Important Information for All Tests:

  • Testing will be administered at our District office, 84 East J Street in Chula Vista
  • No pre-registration: First-come, first-served only
  • No late admittance
  • Each test has limited testing capacity and space is reserved for CVESD applicants only
  • Must have valid picture I.D.
  • Testing dates and times subject to change without notice

Test Results and Application Process:

  • Test results will be MAILED to the address you provide
  • Application and checklist of items to submit in order to start the hiring process will be MAILED with passing test results

Please Note: Each applicant will be allowed 3 attempts to pass any one test per school year. The new school year begins July 1st. You must retake the entire test if you do not pass all sections in one school year.

Proficiency Tests and Requirements

Instructional Assistant/Student Attendant

  • Not holding testing for this position at this time. Please check back in the Fall of 2018.

Clerical

  • Requirements: Picture ID, $7.00 exact change, or bring original receipt of payment from the previous test during current school year only.

Bus Driver

  • Requirements: Picture ID
  • No testing dates required at this time

Bus Attendant

  • Requirements: Picture ID

Custodian

  • Requirements: Picture ID
  • To be signed up for the Interviews/Chemical Training, email the following items to teresa.snyder@cvesd.org :
  1. Full legal name on ID
  2. Which date you would like to register for?
  3. Phone number
