CVESD’s Teachers of the Year, Rachel Mednick of Rosebank and Blanca Hernandez-Stingl of Liberty, represented the District at the 27th Annual 'Salute to Teachers.' Ms. Mednick was also selected as a Top 10 finalist for San Diego County Teacher of the Year honors.

The Pledge of Allegiance at the October 11, 2017 Board of Education meeting was led by students from Leonardo da Vinci Health Sciences and Howard Gardner Community charter schools. The Board also recognized Salt Creek Elementary third grade student Abigail Sophia Domingo Estrella.

Port of San Diego Tackles Pollution at its Source
10/02/2017
The Chula Vista Elementary School District was awarded $68,800 by the Port’s Environmental Advisory Committee for its Coastal Education Program, located at the Living Coast Discovery Center in Chula Vista. The funding provides transportation and admission costs for students over the next five school years, and is the largest grant that the Coastal Education Program has received from the Port.
